According to Islamic interpretations, drinking alcohol in a dream indicates that the person's environment, work or friends are in a state that is not suitable for religious obligations and that the person is moving in this direction. The dream, which is also described as having a life far from the way of Allah, also indicates that the haram is used, the money earned is not halal, and the person is a person who does evil, has bad thoughts and has weak morals. If a single person sees that he is drinking alcohol in his dream, it indicates the presence of an immoral woman in his life. For married people, it is interpreted as someone who feeds their family's sustenance to other people and disrupts their responsibilities.

From the Islamic point of view, a person is involved in many sins and it is necessary to repent and seek healing by taking refuge in Allah. The life of the person who sees that he is an alcoholic is destroyed and the family order is completely destroyed. This dream is also interpreted that in some cases, the person will be caught in incurable diseases.

It is interpreted that the dreamer is very fond of worldly blessings and his power of faith weakens. It is an expression that money and power are overvalued and lead a spiritually miserable life. The person who sees that he is drunk in his dream receives news that he will be sad. According to some commentators, it is interpreted that there will be a great financial abundance and the person will own new property.

It is common in people with alcohol problems. Especially people who are undergoing alcohol treatment or who are addicted to alcohol may see that they drink alcohol because they need alcohol in their sleep. People who try not to drink and have to fight this habit may also dream of drinking alcohol. In some cases, even if people do not drink alcohol in their daily life, they may have such dreams by being influenced by the conversations they make during the day or the movies and news they watch.
